A New Start

I was not a journal keeper when I was a kid. Not sure if I am now, but I am going to give it a try with new interesting topics other than just what happened during a day, which I was trying to write in my journal when I was eight. I will use this opportunity to practice the mainly two aspects of my professional development:Practicing heuristic evaluation of daily products I use, including software, websites, and other physical. English writing (For those who don't know me, English is my second language. I have been living in an English speaking environment for almost three years. Even though I am a technical writer, there's a lot for me to improve. Critics are welcome.)I have been thinking about blogging since the STC Summit 2009. It was inspiring how Web 2.0 can impact a person's professional and social life. Before that, I visited my Linked In and Facebook profiles about twice a year. Now I have added all the friends I met at the conference this year and LAST year to my Linked In account. I started twittering, even though I don't have many followers at the moment.

The STC Summit 2009 has been over for almost two weeks and here comes the first blog posting.

Topic coming soon: A comparison heuristic review of two similar flash games on www.xiaonei.com: Happy Farm and Happy Farmer (Xiaonei is the Chinese version of the Facebook)
Happy Farm  Happy Farmer
